programs ACCSF

A Home for African Creativity, Dialogue, and Cultural Exchange

Our programs are how the vision of ACCSF comes to life. Through arts, education, community, and dialogue, we create experiences that bring Africa closer to San Francisco and San Francisco closer to Africa.

ARTS & EXHIBITIONS

Showcasing African Creativity

We present rotating exhibitions that highlight the diversity of African creativity traditional, modern, and everything in between. From textiles and sculpture to photography and multimedia, our exhibitions give artists from the continent and the diaspora a platform to be seen and celebrated.

We work with curators, embassies, and partner institutions to present national showcases, themed exhibitions, and special projects tied to history, identity, and contemporary life.

PERFORMANCE & FESTIVALS

Celebrating Africa Through Music, Dance & Film

Our performance programs bring African music, dance, theatre, and film to San Francisco audiences.

  • Public performances by local and international artists
  • Film screenings and conversations with directors & storytellers
  • The annual “Africa in the Bay” festival

Education & Youth

Our goal is to move beyond stereotypes and headlines, offering a fuller, more grounded understanding of Africa and its global relevance.
