Africa Give-Back Initiative

Empower communities, support women and children, and expand opportunity across Africa. Together, we make impact possible.

Sustainability

Education changes lives. Through the Back to the Motherland Education Fund, we support schools, students, and educators in African countries.

Back to the Motherland
Education Fund

Our goals include:

  • Supporting girls’ education and school completion
  • Providing books, supplies, and classroom materials
  • Offering small grants to schools and teachers for essential needs and creative projects
  • Building long-term “sister school” relationships between Bay Area and African classrooms

Women of Africa
Empowerment Fund

African women are often at the center of families, communities, and economies. This fund supports programs that strengthen their leadership, safety, and economic power.

We partner with trusted local organizations to support women’s cooperatives, provide vocational and entrepreneurship training, expand income-generating opportunities, and back initiatives that protect and uplift girls and young mothers.
Women’s Empowerment

Arts for Change – Africa

Art is not just about expression, it’s also about opportunity. Through Arts for Change, we support youth arts programs, community arts centers, and creative initiatives that help young people develop skills, confidence, and voice. This includes:

  • Providing instruments, art supplies, and equipment.
  • Supporting youth performances, exhibitions, and workshops.
  • Partnering with local artists and cultural workers to mentor emerging talent.

Diaspora Classroom Exchange

The Diaspora Classroom Exchange connects students in the Bay Area with peers in African countries. Through shared projects, virtual exchange sessions, and joint activities, students:

  • Learn directly from one another’s experiences
  • Challenge stereotypes and assumptions
  • Build friendships across borders

How It Works

A portion of donations, grants, and program revenue from ACCSF is designated for Africa Give-Back funds. We partner with vetted schools, NGOs, community-based organizations, and women-led initiatives to ensure resources are used ethically and effectively.

We are committed to transparency, story-sharing, and reporting on the impact of every contribution.
